Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and SoFedUp LLC ("SoFedUp", "we", "us") for using the SoFedUp app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SoFedUp.

1. What SoFedUp does

SoFedUp suggests meal plans, recipes and grocery lists based on what you tell us. Prices are estimates: real prices change and vary by store, so your total at checkout may be different. Nutrition numbers are estimates too.

2. Allergies, diets and health

SoFedUp is not medical or nutrition advice. It filters recipes using the allergies, diets and rules you enter, but products and recipes change, and brands use different ingredients. Always read the labels on what you buy, and ask a doctor or dietitian about serious allergies or health conditions.

You're responsible for entering your allergies and preferences correctly and keeping them up to date. Faith and culture diets follow common rules that you can adjust; they aren't a religious certification.

3. Your account

You need to be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

4. The free version, subscriptions and free trials

  • SoFedUp has a free version. Some features (Premium) need a paid subscription. Prices, trial length and any offers are shown in the app before you subscribe, and they can differ by country.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • If you start a free trial, you'll be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then. Cancelling during a trial ends the trial.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your SoFedUp account doesn't cancel it.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
  • Without a subscription you can still browse and save recipes, see cost per serving, use cook mode, write reviews, and keep your saved recipes, your first week's recipes, your last grocery list, your allergy, diet and faith settings and your account.

5. Your content

You own the recipes, notes, photos and reviews you add. You give us permission to store and process them so the app works, and to show your reviews to other users. Recipes you import from a link or scan are for your own personal use; imported recipes keep a link to where they came from. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share publicly, and don't post reviews that are false, hateful or illegal. We may remove reviews that break these rules.

6. Using SoFedUp fairly

Please don't misuse the app: no copying or reselling our recipe library, no automated scraping, no trying to break or overload the service, and no using it for anything illegal.

7. Our content

The SoFedUp app, recipe library, Cosmo the piggy bank, icons, logos and design belong to SoFedUp LLC. Store names and logos belong to their owners and are shown only to help you pick where you shop.

8. Changes and availability

We keep improving SoFedUp, so features may change. We may update these terms; if a change is important, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

9. Disclaimers and limits

SoFedUp is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't guarantee that the app will always be available or error-free, or that you'll save a particular amount of money. To the extent the law allows, SoFedUp LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, except where the consumer laws of your country (including Colombia) give you rights that can't be waived.
